The company has since been spun off from Louisville, Ky.-based Providian Corp. The card issuer maintained its profitability despite a 53-basis-point rise in the credit loss rate since the first quarter, to 6.59%. Delinquencies of more than 30 days fell to 4.37%, from 4.52% in the first quarter. Managed loans rose 18% during the last 12 months, to $9.2 billion. Unbanked outstandings, including unsecured cards, doubled to $608 million.
