Tech Bytes: U.K. Internet Provider To Offer Netdox Link

BusinessNet, an Internet service provider based in the United Kingdom, has agreed to offer its 25,000 customers the NetDox DoxIt electronic document delivery service, NetDox Inc. announced.

DoxIt service is designed to ensure secure and certified global delivery of legal, financial, and other sensitive documents over the Internet.

"The Internet will facilitate a new, higher level of global commerce because it's fast and available to anyone in the world," said Michael Durbin, vice president of international development at NetDox. "With BusinessNet offering DoxIt, U.K. businesses will have access to a commercial-grade level of service that is quickly becoming a global standard for Internet document delivery."

NetDox, a Chicago-area company founded two years ago by Deloitte & Touche and Thurston Group, recently announced pilot tests of its secure messaging system with United Parcel Service and companies in several other industries. It also obtained U.S. government approval to export 128-bit data encryption, a strong form of data security that NetDox and others view as essential to safe information transmittals globally.
