New Chief for Scudder's GNMA Fund; Bear Stearns Adds Prime Money Fund

Scudder, Stevens & Clark Inc., the New York-based mutual fund company, recently named a new lead portfolio manager for its GNMA Fund.

Mark Boyadjian, a principal who joined the firm in 1989, will manage the GNMA Fund, which invests primarily in mortgage-backed securities issued by the Government National Mortgage Association.

Mr. Boyadjian succeeds David Glen, who has joined Scudder's institutional group.

Assisting Mr. Boyadjian on the GNMA portfolio management team will be Scott S. Anthony, who joined in June.

Scudder, which manages $40 billion of open-end mutual funds, markets a select group of them through bank trust departments.

Bear Stearns Asset Management announced it has added a prime money market portfolio to its Bear Stearns Funds family.

The portfolio, with a minimum initial investment of $3 million, is designed for institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals.

The asset management arm of Bear, Stearns & Co. managed $8 billion of mutual funds and other assets at June 30.
