Peoples Bank Of Indianapolis Hires S.J. Beck As Lending SVP

Peoples Bank Corp. of Indianapolis has hired Steven J. Beck, a 27-year veteran of banking in Indianapolis, to be senior vice president of commercial banking.

He reports to Charles R. Farber, executive vice president of Peoples Bank's commercial banking division.

Mr. Beck had been senior vice president of commercial lending at First of America Bank, Indianapolis, since last year. He started his career at Indiana National Bank in 1969 as a branch manager and later established that bank's first small-business lending division. His last post before leaving Indiana National in 1986 was vice president and commercial lender. He then became a senior vice president of commercial banking in Indianapolis for Huntington National Bank.

In 1995, he left banking to become a senior vice president at Career Consultants, an executive advisory firm, before being hired by First of America.

Peoples Bank Corp. of Indianapolis has $528.2 million of assets.
