The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia Names Executive

The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia has promoted Gerard A. Callanan to vice president and discount officer.

He is responsible for the administration of the discount window; supervision, regulation and the credit payment systems risk program; and oversight of overdrafts for all Third District financial institutions.

Mr. Callanan, who was assistant vice president and business planning officer, joined the Philadelphia Fed in 1978.

The bank also reassigned Sharon N. Tomlinson, an assistant vice president, as officer for business planning and budgets, responsible for product pricing and analysis as well as contingency and strategic planning. Ms. Tomlinson was assistant vice president in human resources.
