Fidelity Unit Offers Dealer Web Site

National Financial, the correspondent clearing arm of Fidelity Investments, launched its broker-dealer Web site this week at www.nfweb.com.

The site is more informational than transactional and is aimed primarily at institutional clients, said a Fidelity spokesman. The groups targeted by the site include the banks, discount broker-dealers, full service broker- dealers, and independent contractors that use National Financial.

Users of the Web site are able to gain access to information on FundsMart, National Financial's mutual fund supermarket of roughly 5,500 mutual funds, which includes more than 800 no-transaction-fee funds.

Also available through the Internet link are sales and product support for brokers on a range of retirement products. The site also offers advice on how to solve business problems, such as the year 2000 configuration issue.

National Financial serves more than 250 retail and institutional broker- dealer correspondents, including 85 banks.
