Dime Signs Up Chase Senior VPAs Consumer Lending Chief

Dime Savings Bank of New York has hired Chase Manhattan Corp.'s senior vice president of information technology and operations, Robert K. Kettenmann, as executive vice president and general manager of consumer lending.

Mr. Kettenmann, 46, had assumed the Chase post last year. He had been Chase's global customer service executive for technology services since 1991 and before that was in charge of retail banking in Spain.

Dime also promoted vice presidents Mark Adema, Franklin Joseph, Paul Marcotrigiano, and Roberta Treacy to senior vice president.

Mr. Adema is director of consumer loan servicing, responsible for collections, foreclosures, bankruptcy recoveries, remarketing, customer service, systems administration, and quality assurance.

Mr. Joseph is the deputy asset-quality review executive, responsible for managing retail, consumer, and residential loan reviews and treasury transactions. Mr. Marcotrigiano is associate general counsel for general corporate and transactions. His responsibilities are to prepare filings in accordance with the Securities Exchange Act and oversee employee-benefit issues.

Ms. Treacy is the training and development director.

Dime Savings is the principal subsidiary of Dime Bancorp.
