Putnam Alumni to Lead Greenwich Bank

Greenwich Bank and Trust Co., a new bank founded by alumni of Putnam Trust Co., appointed three senior executives last week.

James F. McLean was named chief operating officer of Greenwich, which is slated to open in January in Connecticut. Mr. McLean most recently was a vice president at Bank of New York, which bought Putnam Trust in 1996. Mr. McLean had worked for Putnam since 1985.

Another Putnam veteran, Robert E. O'Brien, will serve as Greenwich's senior loan officer. And Putnam's controller, Donald Brown, will hold the same title at Greenwich.
