Tech Bytes: RSA Attracts More Big Japanese Investors

RSA Data Security Inc. said its Japanese subsidiary, RSA Japan KK, has received equity investments from Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi and Matsushita Electric Industry Co.

The companies joined an investor group that already included NEC Corp., Sony Corp., Sharp Corp., Sanwa Bank, and Sumitomo Bank.

The prestigious list enhances RSA's ability to spread its data encryption technology in Japan and the Pacific Rim, said RSA Data Security president Jim Bidzos.
