People's Bank Names Executive

NEW ENGLAND

People's Bank, Bridgeport, Conn., has promoted key executives to head different regions in Connecticut.

The promotions will be effective Jan. 2, when People's Bank buys Norwich Financial Corp.

Parry E. Spahr, senior vice president of the Stamford region, will also oversee the Bridgeport region. Mr. Spahr will succeed Michael Leone, who had been promoted to executive vice president of regional banking and direct banking services.

Jay M. Forgotson, senior vice president and chief credit administration officer of commercial lending, will become head of the New Haven region. He will succeed Barbara Johnson, who will become senior vice president of insurance products.

David A. Bodor, vice president and deputy credit administration officer, was promoted to first vice president. He will assume Mr. Forgotson's post as chief credit information officer.

James M. Sheridan, a vice president and manager of consumer lending, was promoted to first vice president and will manage the New Haven region.

Gerald T. Sargent 3d, vice president of consumer loan administration, will succeed Mr. Sheridan as its manager.
