Card Briefs: Diebold Installing 200 ATMs at Marts for PNC

PNC Bank Corp. has tapped Diebold Inc. to install 200 automated teller machines at Turkey Hill Minit Market convenience stores in Pennsylvania.

PNC, the 10th-largest U.S. ATM deployer, has installed about half its machines in convenience stores. The Turkey Hill units were installed in late November.

The machines, Diebold model 1064i, dispense cash and postage stamps, and are in front of the stores.

PNC's last large convenience store deployment was in 1995, when it installed 400 machines in Philadelphia-based Wawa convenience stores.
