Correction

Type was omitted Monday from "Medlin Says Standards 'Worst in Decades,'" an article based on remarks of Wachovia Corp. chairman John G. Medlin. The last page 1 paragraph and the first on page 2 should have read:

"Addressing a conference on regulatory capital sponsored by the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council, Mr. Medlin said that many banks simply are not pricing their risky loans high enough.

"The commodization of credit has led to stretch-sock pricing-one rate fits all," he said.
