Tech Bytes: Former 1st Chicago NBD Exec Joins Edify Board

Edify Corp., a prominent vendor of remote banking software, has appointed retired banker Donald Hollis to its board.

Mr. Hollis, 61, is president of DRH Strategic Consulting Inc., whose clients include Cash Station Inc., Tandem Computers Inc., and the Swift international bank communications network.

Mr. Hollis spent 15 years with First Chicago NBD Corp., managing global cash management, corporate trust, and trade banking, and serving as chief information officer.

Before that he spent 10 years as vice president of Chase Manhattan Bank and was active in numerous industry committees on operations and payment- system areas.

Edify president and chief executive officer Jeffrey M. Crowe said Mr. Hollis' "experience and counsel" will assist Edify in developing "strategic relationships with key players in the banking industry."

Mr. Hollis also sits on the boards of Deluxe Corp., Information Advantage, Openport Technology, and the Illinois Institute of Technology, among others.
