Cards Briefs: Visa Hires First Chief Of Consumer Programs

Bank of Hawaii veteran Donna G. Hunt has joined Visa International as senior vice president, consumer programs.

In this position, created when the San Francisco-based association reorganized last fall, Ms. Hunt, 48, reports to Una Somerville, executive vice president, Program Management.

Consumer credit, deposit access, automated teller machine, and Visa TravelMoney units will report to Ms. Hunt. She will work with six regions to manage current programs and help develop new consumer programs and services, Visa said.

Ms. Hunt was at Bank of Hawaii for 16 years and had been senior vice president and manager of its consumer products/services division since 1992.

She had previous ties to Visa, serving as an adviser to Visa U.S.A. Marketing and Visa Delivery Systems.

Ms. Hunt brings a background in credit and debit cards, Visa said.
