Tech Bytes: Fiserv Renews Pacts With 3 Bank Clients

Fiserv Inc. has won renewal contracts with three bank clients for services ranging from core processing to Internet banking services.

First Indiana Corp., a $1.5 billion-asset institution in Indianapolis, will extend its contract five years. Fiserv, which has been under contract with the bank since 1992, will provide core deposit functions and retail and commercial loan processing services through a service bureau in Pittsburgh.

The bank also will have access to branch automation and telephone banking systems offered by Fiserv.

Another Indianapolis-based bank, $775 million-asset Hasten Bancshares, has signed a 10-year extension to its contract for similar services.

Fiserv also will implement its Informent data warehousing system for Hasten Bank's two operating units, First National Bank in Kokomo, Ind., and First Bank and Trust in Sullivan, Ind. First National will use Fiserv's Internet services to set up a home page on the World Wide Web.

In Irwin, Pa., $330 million-asset Irwin Bank and Trust also has extended its contract. Fiserv will offer upgrades to the bank's core deposit, loan, and telephone banking systems run through its Pittsburgh data center.
