One Valley Names Executive

SOUTHEAST

One Valley Bank, Charleston, West Va., has promoted Gary Brown to regional president for Wood, Jackson, and Mason counties.

He was also named head of small business banking for Kanawha, Putnam, Wood, Jackson, and Mason counties. Mr. Brown, who joined the bank in 1993, had been vice president and senior lending officer at Central Trust Co.

In addition, One Valley promoted the following from vice president to senior vice president: Daniel O'Donovan, corporate and international banking; John A. DeRito, credit administration; Robert Welty, corporate sales manager; and Michael H. Spangler, Kanawha/Putnam regional head.

Roger Mooney, a senior vice president, was named a community outreach officer. He remains regional manager of four offices in the Greater Charleston area.

Commercial banking officers Philip A. Bright and Timothy Paxton were promoted to vice president from assistant vice president.

Mr. Bright was named small-business lender, and Mr. Paxton was named sales manager.

One Valley Bank is the principal subsidiary of $4.3 billion-asset One Valley Bancorp of West Virginia.
