In Briefs: Amex Platinum Card Targets Small Business

Adding to its slate of small-business products, American Express Co. introduced a "platinum card" for small business credit lines up to $50,000.

Steve Alesio, president of American Express small-business services, said the card is intended to help the company become a money center for entrepreneurs.

"By combining product innovation with our national marketing reach and respected brand, American Express is uniquely positioned to create such a single capital source," Mr. Alesio said.
