UST Corp. Names Executive

NEW ENGLAND

UST Corp., Boston, has elected three new directors to its board.

Chester G. Atkins is the director of ADS Ventures Inc. in Concord, Mass. He had represented Massachusetts' fifth district in Congress.

David E. Bradbury had been the chairman, president, and chief executive of Walden Bancorp, which UST Corp. had acquired in January.

He was also chairman of Walden's subsidiary, Co-operative Bank of Concord.

G. Robert Tod is president, chief operating officer, and director of Acton, Mass.-based CML Group Inc., a specialty retailer.

In addition, John C. Doody was elected a director of United States Trust Co., UST's trust and money management subsidiary. Mr. Doody is president and treasurer of Arthur L. Doody Insurance Agency Inc. in Randolph, Mass.
