Card Briefs: Amex Hires Citi, Chase Veteran as Senior VP

American Express Co. said it has hired Kim Rosenberg as senior vice president and treasurer.

Mr. Rosenberg, 51, joins the company on May 12 from Citicorp, where he was managing director and a member of the market risk policy committee.

His responsibilities will include asset and liability management, funding, foreign exchange, cash management, bank relations, capital structure, and other financial matters.

The treasurer's departments at Travel Related Services, American Express Financial Advisors, American Express Bank, and the corporate treasury will report to him.

Mr. Rosenberg will report to Richard K. Goeltz, vice chairman and chief financial officer.

Mr. Rosenberg spent 14 years at Citicorp in a variety of senior finance positions. Before that, he spent nine years with Chase Manhattan Bank.
