Short Takes: SEI Hires an Exec Away from Bisys

SEI Corp. has raided Bisys for a vice president of fund accounting and administration.

Mark Nagle, 37, joined SEI last month to oversee all fund accounting, financial administration, and compliance activities for mutual funds serviced by SEI Fund Resources. He moved to the Philadelphia-based company after serving for one year as senior vice president of accounting services for Bisys Fund Services.

"I liked the philosophy here - to find different ways to serve clients with the best of breed products," Mr. Nagle said. "The challenge is to take a talented group of people and really take the business to the next level."

Another consideration, Mr. Nagle said, is that his wife's family is from the Philadelphia area. He replaces Stephen Meyer, who takes on the new role of vice president of global services for fund resources.

Before joining Bisys, Mr. Nagle was with Fidelity Investments for 15 years, serving most recently as a senior vice president for the institutional retirement services division.

He holds a BA in economics and history from Hamilton College and a JD from Suffolk University Law School.
