Tech Bytes: Comerica Expanding Home Banking Plan

Comerica Inc. expanded its home banking program for consumers and small businesses using Intuit Inc.'s Quicken and Quickbooks financial software.

"This is a great example of why we have a number of relationships" with technology companies, said Richard G. Lyons Jr., Comerica senior vice president of electronic banking. The Detroit bank is a co-owner of the Integrion financial network and also works with Visa Interactive to allow access to accounts through a dial-up software product called ComeriNet.

"There is no company that does it all," added Mr. Lyons. "It serves a financial institution well to make sure it has strategic partnership that it can use to leverage the objectives of bank."
