In Brief: Deutsche Bank Hires Chemicals Analysts

Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., the U.S. investment banking subsidiary of Germany's Deutsche Bank, hired two analysts this week for its global chemicals group.

Frank Mitsch and Robert Koort join the equity research group as directors and will bring two new areas of coverage to the group.

Mr. Mitsch, who joins the bank from Merrill Lynch & Co., will cover the major chemicals sector. Mr. Koort, who joins the bank from Salomon Smith Barney, will cover fertilizers and specialty chemicals. Both will be based in New York and report to Steve Black, Deutsche Bank Securities' head of research.
