Short Takes: Federated Investors Reaches $100B in Assets

Federated Investors Inc., a Pittsburgh investment management company, said it has hit the $100 billion mark in managed assets, nearly doubling since yearend 1994.

J. Christopher Donahue, president and chief executive officer, attributed the growth to relationship building, product development, and service. He said 90% of the funds are rated 3, 4, or 5 by Morningstar Inc. and that the firm has increasingly focused on equity and international funds -Cheryl Winokur
