Short Takes: Fiduciary Rehires Exec For New Marketing Job

Fiduciary Trust Company International rehired a former employee to be director of U.S. institutional marketing, a new post.

Henry P. Johnson, who worked for the New York trust company from 1994 to 1997, returned late last month as a senior vice president. In the interim, he had worked in marketing and client service for Blackstone Alternative Asset Management, an affiliate of Blackstone Group, New York.

Previously, oversight of institutional marketing at Fiduciary was one of several direct responsibilities of executive vice president Henry C. Barkhorn, who is in charge of all new business development.

Fiduciary also announced Tuesday the hiring of a vice president in institutional marketing, Mark R. Meyer, bringing the dedicated staff's roster to four. Mr. Meyer, who is focused on the Southeast and Texas, joined Fiduciary last month from Salomon Smith Barney, where he worked in institutional sales of fixed-income products.

Fiduciary manages about $32 billion of assets for institutions and $10 billion for wealthy people.
