BNCCorp Names Executive

BNCCorp, Bismarck, N.D., hired Kevin Pifer to be president of its BNC National Bank.

He succeeded John Malmberg, who resigned to pursue a banking opportunity in Minnesota.

Mr. Pifer had been head of business development and management of insurance, financial planning, and property management products at First National Bank North Dakota.

Before that he had been executive vice president and chief executive officer of Nodak Mutual Insurance Co., Fargo, N.D., and deputy director of intergovernmental affairs at the U.S. Agriculture Department and deputy commissioner of the North Dakota Department of Agriculture.

Tracy Scott is chairman and chief executive officer, and Gregory K. Cleveland, president and chief operating officer, of the $365 million-asset BNCCorp.
