Executive Changes: MIDDLE ATLANTIC

European American Bank, Uniondale, N.Y., has promoted the heads of five departments from senior to executive vice president.

Ira Z. Romoff, a member of the bank's executive management group, is in charge of the lease financing department, which includes the subsidiaries Wasco Funding Corp., American Equipment Leasing Co., and Bankers Leasing Association Inc. Earlier he had led the small-business lending division.

Mark B. Anderson has been head of the marketplace management and product development department since 1996. Before that he was in charge of the metropolitan corporate lending division.

Dennis D. Jurs, who has been with EAB since 1979, is in charge of the corporate banking department. He is responsible for relationship management and sales of commercial banking products to corporate, middle-market, real estate, and small-business clients in the New York metropolitan area.

Louis F. Rosenthal manages the service delivery department. He came from Bank of New York in 1985 and has also had responsibilities at European American in commercial loans, letters of credit, and mortgage lending.

William Redman runs the retail credit department at EAB, managing a portfolio that includes residential mortgages and student and installment loans as well as auto financing, credit cards, and revolving credit. He joined EAB in 1971.

European American, which has $11 billion of assets, is a subsidiary of ABN Amro Holding in the Netherlands.

Kelley Drye & Warren LLP, a New York law firm, said Robert Adams, senior vice president and deputy general counsel at Chase Manhattan Bank, has joined the firm. He will be a partner in the financial institution and corporate practice groups and will focus on banking, securities, and general corporate law.

Mr. Adams practiced law at the bank for 25 years.
