American Express Co. is teaming up with DisneyQuest, a new theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort, to offer a stored value card for visitors.
Cardholders will use the card to activate games, among other features.
"Our goal was to develop a payment system that would provide fast, easy, and convenient access for our guests, while allowing us to run the business as efficiently as possible," said Art Levitt, president of Disney Regional Entertainment.
Besides supporting the technology, American Express will assist in marketing. The New York-based travel and entertainment company has other stored value projects including an electronic travelers check program being tested in the United Kingdom.
