Because of an editing error, a passage in the Aug. 13 article "Rating Agencies Poaching on Others' Specialties" (page 1) mistakenly indicated that rating banks was a traditional business for Moody's Investors Service and Standard & Poor's. The reference should have been to rating nonbank companies.
