Executive Changes: SouthTrust Bank Names President, Chief Executive For

SouthTrust Bank has promoted Lee E. Moncrief to West Florida chief executive officer and David M. Vosen to president for the area.

Both work out of St. Petersburg.

Mr. Moncrief was Northwest Florida CEO. (Jerry Richards, the Biloxi, Miss., chief executive, has taken over that job.) Mr. Vosen was West Florida executive vice president in the commercial division.

SouthTrust also promoted Thomas P. Croom to West Florida executive vice president of community administration. He was senior vice president and team leader for South Pinellas county.

The bank, a subsidiary of Birmingham, Ala.-based SouthTrust Corp., also said it had hired Robert H. Dewey 3d as executive vice president of large corporate banking in Atlanta.

Mr. Dewey had been executive vice president of commercial banking at Barnett Banks Inc. in Jacksonville. Before that he was senior vice president of commercial banking in Broward and Dade counties for NationsBank.
