Diebold Inc. is bolstering its automated teller machines to handle more data faster.
The ATM manufacturer signed an agreement with Timeplex Inc., a data network company, to provide network support and hardware to improve performance of the machines.
The improvement will help Diebold meet the growing demand for full- motion video advertising on the screens.
"The combination of Diebold's advanced ATM products and services matched with Timeplex's knowledge of complex network environments" allows for a one-stop service for customers, said Robert W. Reho, vice president of customer services and systems at Diebold.
