Olympian Bank In New York Hires Sullivan As Chairman

The directors of Olympian Bank in Brooklyn, N.Y., a subsidiary of Olympian New York Corp., have elected John P. Sullivan as chairman, succeeding Stacey Athanail.

Mr. Sullivan, an accountant and a 20-year veteran of banking, was president and chief executive officer of Continental Bank, Garden City, N.Y., which Reliance Bancorp of Garden City bought last October. Since then he had been working as a consultant, Olympian New York said.

Before joining Continental he was president and CEO of Hamilton Bankcorp, a community bank also in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn.

Ms. Athanail remains chairman of $100 million-asset Olympian New York Corp., which was formed April 14. Richard Conti is president and chief executive officer of it and the bank.
