Capital Brief: Symposium on Resolution of Thrift Crisis

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. will host a symposium April 29-30 examining the performance of the agency and the Resolution Trust Corp. in resolving the thrift industry crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Topics covered in the conference include strategies for resolving troubled institutions, techniques for disposing of a large volume of assets, the agencies' most difficult challenges, and experiences in other countries.
