Imperial Bank Names Executive

Imperial Bank, Inglewood, Calif., has promoted Douglas M. Elefant to senior vice president and East Bay regional portfolio manager.

Mr. Elefant, who was vice president and commercial loan officer, will be responsible for credit administration and portfolio loan quality at the Walnut Creek branch.

He came to Imperial from Bank of America in Berkeley, where he was a commercial loan officer.

Imperial Bank also hired James Edson and Andrew Watson as senior vice presidents.

Mr. Edson is responsible for managing relationships with construction companies. He was the regional surety bond manager at General Accident Insurance Company of America in Walnut Creek. Before that he was vice president and team leader in the corporate banking division of Bank of California in San Francisco.

Mr. Waterson is responsible for business development at the East Bay branch. He was a vice president and sales officer at Bank of America in Oakland.

Mr. Elefant, Mr. Edson, and Mr. Waterson will report to Arlene Gould, regional vice president of Imperial's East Bay branch.
