Chicago Title Corp Names Executive

Chicago Title Corp. has hired Louis A. Iannaccone as chief technology and information officer and an executive vice president.

Mr. Iannaccone was chief information officer at Long Island Savings Bank of Melville, N.Y. Astoria Financial Corp. in Lake Success is expected to buy Long Island Savings on Sept. 30.

Mr. Iannaccone came to Long Island Savings from the bank card services division of Chase Manhattan Bank. He was the division's information officer

He will start at Chicago Title early next month and report to John Rau, its president and CEO. Mr. Iannaccone will succeed Gerhard Terschke as technology chief.

Mr. Terschke, who was a vice president, left recently to pursue other interests, Chicago Title said.

Fifth Third Bancorp of Cincinnati has elected senior officials of two recently acquired banking companies to its board.

David E. Reese and Donald B. Shackelford came from State Savings Co. of Columbus, Ohio, which Fifth Third bought June 19.

Mr. Reese was chairman and chief executive officer of State Savings. He is now chairman of Fifth Third Bank of the Southwest in Scottsdale, Ariz., a former State Savings operation.

Mr. Shackelford, who was vice chairman of State Savings, is now chairman of Fifth Third Bank of Columbus.

Jerry L. Kirby and Allen M. Hill were associated with Citfed Bancorp in Dayton, which Fifth Third acquired June 26 and renamed Fifth Third Bank of Western Ohio.

Mr. Kirby, who was Citfed's president and CEO, is now chairman of the renamed bank. Mr. Hill, who was a Citfed director, is president and CEO of DPL Inc. and its Dayton Power and Light Co.
