Maryland Banks Choose Ruark To Be President Of Trade Group

The Maryland Bankers Association in Annapolis has elected F. Levi Ruark president for a one-year term.

For nearly two decades Mr. Ruark has been the chairman and chief executive officer of National Bank of Cambridge, which has $157 million of assets.

In the trade group post he succeeded Peter M. Martin, who is chairman, president, and CEO of Provident Bankshares in Baltimore.

The group also chose A. Patrick Linton as president-elect and William J. Reuter as vice president.

Mr. Linton is president and CEO of FCNB Bank in Frederick. Mr. Reuter is chairman and CEO of Farmers and Merchants Bank and Trust in Hagerstown.
