Card Briefs: State of Iowa Contracts For Wright Fleet Cards

Wright Express Corp. said it has sold its fleet card program to the state of Iowa.

Under a two-year contract starting Oct. 1, Wright Express supplies fleet cards for the 4,000 vehicles maintained by Iowa's departments of Transportation and General Services.

Wright Express, a subsidiary of Cendant Corp., said its Universal Fleet Card program helps government agencies reduce accounting and administrative burdens associated with vehicle expenses.

Five other states have hired Wright Express: Maine, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New Mexico, and Wisconsin.
