Statewide Savings Names Executive

Statewide Savings Bank, Jersey City, has hired James F. Lynch as a vice president of commercial lending.

Mr. Lynch, who has he has 16 years of commercial lending experience, will be responsible for commercial loan originations.

He came to Statewide from PNC Bank, where he was also a vice president of commercial lending. He was responsible for business loan underwriting and business development in Hudson and Bergen counties.

He joined PNC in 1995, when it bought Midlantic Corp. of Edison, N.J., his previous employer.

Statewide also hired Paul E. Orzechowski as assistant vice president of the loan department. He will be the bank's principal lending officer for Small Business Administration loans.

Mr. Orzechowski had been a senior loan officer for the SBA's New Jersey district office since 1994. Earlier he was a financial analyst with the agency's venture capital small-business investment company program in Washington.

Statewide Savings is a subsidiary of Statewide Financial Corp.
