B of A's Advisory Unit Has a Site for Pros

NationsBanc Investment Advisors, a unit of the new BankAmerica Corp., Charlotte, N.C., has launched a Web site for professional money managers.

The NationsFunds Financial Adviser Resource Center is designed for investment advisers and financial planners.

It offers economic and market commentary from analysts as well as industry and academic articles on asset allocation, index investing, and tax management.

The site also contains data on the 50 NationsFunds, which have $38 billion of assets. NationsFunds was a subsidiary of NationsBank Corp., which merged into BankAmerica Corp. last month.

The site had been in the works since before the merger deal was announced, a spokeswoman said. The $21.5 billion mutual fund unit of the formerly San Francisco-based BankAmerica Corp. has not yet been merged into the NationsFunds operation, she said.
