In Brief: KeyCorp District Exec Gets Wider Authority

KeyCorp said Friday it had promoted Ruben L. Holloway to a wider role.

Mr. Holloway will be responsible for markets in Tacoma, Wash.; Toledo, Canton, Akron, and Cleveland, Ohio; Buffalo, Albany, and Syracuse, N.Y.; and Maine. He remains KeyBank's Greater Cleveland district president and was also named executive vice president.

Mr. Holloway will also oversee the consumer and small-business group, which includes KeyCenter sales, retail private banking, and small-business lending.

He reports to Robert G. Jones, president of retail banking for KeyBank.

Mr. Holloway joined the former Society Bank in 1969 and was named president of the Cleveland district in 1988.
