Card Briefs: Fair, Isaac Software Has Internet Option

Fair, Isaac & Co. has announced a new version of its CreditDesk application processing software that includes an Internet data-entry option. To be available in March, CreditDesk 2.3 was designed to adjust to new modes of processing credit application data. "More and more institutions are making use of Internet Web sites and corporate intranets to effectively manage workflow," said Robin McHale Guptill, product manager. "CreditDesk 2.3 helps them take advantage of intranet and Internet investments."

The Web-based front end of the system incorporates the standard data entry format that Fair, Isaac customers have become accustomed to, the company said. Information entered on personal computers is encrypted and sent to a central server for processing.

Among other CreditDesk 2.3 features, besides the Web option, is an ability to accommodate multiple scoring models for various types of lending-direct, indirect, and revolving.
