Tech Bytes: MSFDC Bill Payment Begins Support System

MSFDC, the joint venture of Microsoft Corp. and First Data Corp., has launched the Systems Integrator Program, enrolling consultants and other third-party companies to help install the MSFDC electronic bill presentment and payment system.

MSFDC had previously announced a pilot test for this year with three initial banks and a larger number of national billing organizations.

"MSFDC wants to offer both banks and billers maximum flexibility in customizing our electronic bill presentment and payment system," said Richard Pickering, senior vice president. "To satisfy their varying needs, we've built a team of heavy hitters in systems integration and solution implementation."

As of the last week in January, when they met at Microsoft headquarters for technical training, the participants were:

Crystal Clear Technology Inc., First Image Management Co., Bell and Howell Co., BlueGill Technologies Inc., Cap Gemini, Computer Sciences Corp., CobWeb Inc., Dataline Systems LLC, Edify Corp., Electronic Data Systems Corp., Home Account Network Inc., Interface Systems, Intelidata Technologies Corp., Microsoft Consulting Services, Price Waterhouse LLP, Princeton Telecom Corp., and Unisys Corp.
