Global Payment Systems, a unit of National Data Corp., is entering the home banking fray with Internet-based software that lets users gain access to credit card and banking account information.
The software, iGlobal Banker, also lets banks process electronic bill payments in-house through a module that executes automated clearing house debits, MasterCard RPS payments, and the laser-printing of checks. The company is developing a module for electronic bill presentment.
Farmers and Merchants State Bank of Boise, Idaho, has signed a letter of intent to license the software, said Marcell King, a Global Payment Systems business development manager.
Global Payment Systems develops cash management systems for banks and corporations. National Data Corp., Atlanta, sells electronic funds transfer processing services.
