Summit Bank Names Executive

MIDDLE ATLANTIC

Summit Bank, Princeton, N.J., the principal subsidiary of Summit Bancorp, has named Alfred J. Cade as a special adviser to the office of the chairman.

Mr. Cade retired in 1996 from Caesars World Inc., the parent company of Caesars Atlantic City, as senior vice president of government relations. He had joined its management team in 1979, a year after retiring from the Army as a brigadier general.

He will be responsible for advancing Summit's role in business development and community affairs in Atlantic County and other areas of southern New Jersey.
