Executive Changes: MIDDLE ATLANTIC

KeyCorp in Cleveland has named Robert E. Smyth as a vice chairman of its principal banking subsidiary, KeyBank.

Mr. Smyth remains president of KeyBank's Albany, N.Y., district, which makes him head of commercial banking activities throughout the Northeast.

He continues to report to Patrick V. Auletta, president of the commercial banking division of KeyBank. Mr. Auletta is based in Cleveland.

Mr. Smyth came to KeyBank of New York in 1990, after 22 years at Bankers Trust New York Corp. He had risen there to senior vice president and national sales manager of cash management services.

His first KeyBank job was as a senior vice president and commercial banking team leader for Long Island. He transferred to Key Bank of New York, Albany, in 1992 as senior commercial lending officer and an executive vice president.
