A PromotionAt Va.'s Crestar Spurs Shuffle in Richmond Area

Crestar Financial Corp., Richmond, Va., promoted four senior managers last month.

They are:

Thomas M. Eckis, who remains a corporate executive vice president. He was promoted to lead a newly created corporate banking group. Mr. Eckis will be responsible for Crestar's real estate finance, financial institutions, international banking, corporate banking credit administration, Crestar Leasing Corp., cash management sales, and a new financing and capital markets unit. He had been senior credit officer.

C.T. Hill, who succeeded Mr. Eckis as senior credit officer, was promoted to corporate executive vice president. He will manage credit policy and procedure, credit process review, and portfolio management. He had been regional president for Crestar's Richmond area.

A. Dale Cannady, who was executive vice president and head of commercial banking for the Richmond area, succeeded Mr. Hill as regional president. He will be responsible for consumer and commercial banking at 58 branches.

William G. Foster was promoted to group executive vice president and head of real estate finance. He will oversee real estate finance in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. He had been regional credit executive for the Richmond area. In his new post, he succeeded Thomas F. Kelley, who was named earlier to head commercial banking in Greater Washington.
