Card Briefs: Airline Card Pools Frequent-Flier Miles

Hawaiian Airlines Inc. and Wells Fargo Bank are offering a credit card that lets up to three people combine their frequent-flier miles, letting them earn travel rewards faster by pooling resources.

Cardholders earn one mile per dollar on any transaction made with the card, good toward travel to and from Hawaii.

The companies said mileage pooling will reduce the time and transaction activity needed to reach award levels.

"The HawaiianMiles MasterCard will earn consumers free Hawaii travel faster than any other program," said John Happ, senior vice president of marketing and sales for Hawaiian Airlines.

Kevin Goldstein, senior vice president of Wells Fargo Bank, said, "Hawaii is a favorite destination for our customers, and we are pleased to offer a program that allows them to get there faster."
