In Brief: Citi Names 3 to Asia, Florida, Calif. Posts

Citicorp has shuffled executives in its retail bank, promoting Frits F. Seegers, current president of Citibank California, to lead retail operations in Southeast Asia and naming executive vice president Mary Alice Taylor to an additional post as state officer for Florida.

The bank said the changes are effective immediately.

Mr. Seegers, 38, was named division executive for Citibank's Asian- Pacific consumer bank, based in Singapore. He oversees branches, personal banking, investment and electronic banking, credit cards, and mortgage operations in Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand, the bank said.

William R. Silver has succeeded Mr. Seegers as corporate state officer and president of Citibank's California consumer operations, based in San Francisco. He also heads retail banking in Nevada.

Mr. Silver, 50, was Citibank's corporate state officer in Florida and chief executive officer of Citicorp Business Services, a business support unit based in Tampa, Florida.

Ms. Taylor, 48, has assumed Mr. Silver's duties in Florida, and is now based in Tampa. She was based in New York and has been in charge of operations and technology, including a corporatewide restructuring effort.

Ms. Taylor continues to report to Citicorp's chairman and chief executive officer, John S. Reed.
