Short Takes: Chase Adds Its Name To Vista Fund Family

Chase Manhattan Corp. has changed the name of its Vista Mutual Funds to Chase Vista Funds, the banking company announced this week.

"This name change signifies the powerful connection between Chase Vista and Chase Manhattan, highlighting the strength of the global resources behind the funds," said Sarah Jones, president of Chase Mutual Funds Corp., in a prepared statement.

Launched in 1987, the Vista family includes 32 domestic funds sold through more than 1,500 third-party broker-dealers, financial planning and investment advisory firms, and Chase's subsidiary broker-dealer in more than 500 branches.

Over all, the Chase global mutual fund group has 72 funds and $38 billion of assets under management.
