Bancfirst of Oklahoma Selling 4 Branches

selling four of those branches. Bancfirst Corp., Oklahoma City, said last week that it has deals to sell the branches to four Oklahoma banks: Bank of Cushing, Exchange Bank and Trust in Perry, Bank of Oklahoma in Tulsa, and NBC Bank, Pawhuska. A spokesman for $1.5 billion-asset Bancfirst said the company bid on all 13 branches last summer because it assumed NationsBank would want to sell everything in the state to one buyer. But Bancfirst never had an interest in these four branches because it had no other presence in their towns. Bancfirst will sell a total of $59 million of deposits to the four buyers. "Our intent is to place these banking locations in the hands of Oklahoma banks that already serve these markets and have a strong commitment to the communities served," said David Rainbolt, Bancfirst's president and chief executive officer. Bancfirst did not disclose the prices paid for the branches. It expects the deals to close by the end of the second quarter.
