Smart Bits: Schlumberger Unit Details Reorganization

Schlumberger Test and Transactions, the unit of the multinational company that includes smart card activities, announced details of a reorganization into three groups: manufacturing, products, and solutions.

All report to executive vice president Irwin Pfister, who said the moves combine "a global infrastructure and emphasis on regionalized solutions."

The solutions group has four key executives, organized by region: Jack Liu, president for Asia, based in Hong Kong; Carlos Lazalde, president for North America, in San Jose; Gerard Leger, president for Europe, in Montrouge, France; and Tameyasu Anayama, vice president and general manager, Japan, and president of Schlumberger KK.

The products group is organized by business unit: Jackie Tubis, president of Schlumberger Automated Test Equipment, San Jose; and Jacques Cosnefroy, president, Schlumberger Smart Cards and Terminals, Montrouge.
